Sohum Yoga & Meditation Studio Retreat

May 3 - May 5

We are happy to welcome Ritu Kapur (RYT 200) and the Sohum Yoga & Meditation Studio of Westborough, Mass back to Good Commons in the spring of 2019.

Ritu completed her Advanced Masters in Occupational Therapy from B.U in 1993.  She was exposed to Yoga at an early age in India and became a Certified Yoga teacher in 2009 which influenced her life dramatically.  Developing a daily personal practice came naturally and after some introspection, she knew she had to combine OT and Yoga. She has since, opened the Sohum Yoga and Meditation Studio, taught Yoga to private clients and at Whittier Rehab to many people with different conditions including stroke, MS, and Fibromyalgia.  Yoga Therapy is her passion; she loves to be able to help people with typical shoulder, neck, hip, knee, spinal and other injuries by combining her knowledge of yoga and over 20 years of experience as an OT.  She recently left her job as a Rehab Director to follow her passion of yoga full-time.

Her goal is to offer gentle Yoga to those who need it the most as a form of therapy or Yog-chikitsa and make yoga accessible to people of all abilities.  Other than her regular classes at the studio, she is currently teaching yoga to adults with Autism in the community, working on writing her first book and training to hike Everest Base Camp in 2019.

During this fun and mindful weekend with Ritu Kapur and Lisa Campbell, you will learn how to ground, balance, and raise your vibration for a healthier and happier life. We will explore the chakras, use heart centered yoga and meditation practices and set our intentions for living a higher vibrational life.
The weekend’s guest speaker is Jonathan Carl who will offer a Sound Healing Workshop during the retreat.
