Year Round Activities: In addition to all of the seasonal activities that Vermont has to offer, there are also many excursions that can be enjoyed year-round. There are a number of charming towns and attractions near Good Commons that are perfect for visiting, shopping and exploring any time of year.
Located 15 miles away, Woodstock offers great artsy shops and boutiques, farmers markets, museums and beautiful architecture.
The nearby town of Bridgewater has pottery, woodworking, antiques and vintage clothing. Bridgewater is about 9 miles from Good Commons.
The President Calvin Coolidge Estate is open year-round, and is only a mile up the road from Good Commons! With changing exhibits, lots of old buildings to tour, a site restaurant and The Plymouth Cheese Factory, the Calvin Coolidge Estate has something for everyone.
Visit the Long Trail Brewery, home of Vermont’s #1 selling craft brew. The Long Trail Brewery offers self-guided tours, a gift shop and a pub to enjoy lunch or an early dinner at. The brewery is located just 12 miles away, and is open daily.
Step back to a simpler time at The Original Vermont Country Store in Weston. Browse thousands of items at the store and enjoy lunch or dinner at The Bryant House Restaurant, which is located right on the property. During the summer and fall Mildred’s Dairy Bar is the perfect place to grab burgers, fries, ice cream and other treats.
