Uncommonly Good: Stories of Food, Life and the Birth of Good Commons

Many years ago I started writing a book on dreaming called “Dream it, Damn it!” I covered three sections of dreaming: night dreams, day dreams and dreams as goals. I was plagued by nightmares as a child and it wasn’t until my late twenties that a friend shared some advice her mother had offered to her as a child. “Put yourself back into the dream and change the outcome.” This turned out to be revolutionary!
Engaging in this practice every morning after nightmares increased my confidence, and most importantly, began my journey into lucid dreaming. Once I realized I wasn’t a victim to my subconscious I could do anything in dreamland! What freedom and what relief!
My blessing for you this summer Good Commoners, is to realize you are dreaming while you are dreaming. You might wake up the first couple times from excitement, but hopefully you can enjoy the nightly practice and soar to new levels of the self by realizing that your dreams are of your own making!
