BRIEF BIO: A native of New Jersey, Lizzi Schippert graduated Emmanuel College, Boston and pursued the study of classical printmaking and painting techniques at the Instituto Allende, San Miquel de Allende, Mexico, School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and the Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore.  She focused on classical techniques in printmaking, figure and portrait drawing and painting, as well as Japanese and Chinese calligraphy.
Lizzi sees her imagery as an idiosyncratic balance of positive and negative forms finding the essential structure of a place, figure or concept in a succinct and meaningful composition.
A professional artist since 1973, Lizzi has exhibited her work in over 35 Solo Exhibitions nationwide, in Sweden, Japan and the Caribbean, with five shows in Manhattan. An award-winning artist in several media, Lizzi has exhibited in group and invitational shows from Hawaii to Sweden for the past 35 years.  Her work is held in museum and public venues in Sweden, and in many public, corporate and private collections nationwide and abroad.
